Description

Profiled polycarbonate is a molded polycarbonate with a textured or corrugated structure, possessing excellent strength, making it resistant to hail, wind, and even hammer blows. It has the highest transparency rate among all transparent plastics (up to 92%). It is protected from environmental factors, including ultraviolet, extreme temperatures, and precipitation. Polycarbonate is pliable, and its sheets can be bent. The temperature range for using this material is from +100 °C to -50 °C, with a temporary tolerance up to +120 °C. Polycarbonate burns weakly and tends to melt, forming a web, and it possesses fire-resistant properties and does not emit dangerous toxic gases when burning. Processing and installation of the material do not require special tools. High-quality profiled polycarbonate typically comes with a 10-year warranty. It's wear-resistant, does not yellow, and remains clear throughout this time.

Application

  • Construction and architecture. It is used as a material for roofing, walls, and fences, and for creating canopies and awnings, due to its lightness, strength, and ability to transmit light.
  • Agriculture. Serves as an excellent material for greenhouses and nurseries, thanks to its even light diffusion and protection from adverse weather conditions.
  • Advertising industry. Often used as a material for advertising signs, stands, and information boards.
  • Transport. In automotive and aviation, it can serve as lightweight and strong window elements or visors.
  • Security. Thanks to its impact resistance and difficulty to break, profiled polycarbonate is used in the production of protective screens, visors in helmets, as well as in armored glass.
  • Interior design. In modern interiors, it can be used to create stylish partitions, ceilings, or even furniture.
  • Sports facilities. Used in the construction of indoor sports arenas, swimming pools, and ice rinks, where the transparency, lightness, and strength of the material are important.
